Our team was so excited to exhibit LearnToMod at Minecon 2016 in Anaheim, CA at the end of September. It was the largest Minecon yet, with over 12,000 Minecraft fans in attendance! Here were some of our highlights:
At Minecon, we sported these awesome lime green, limited-edition LearnToMod t-shirts. (Left to right: Carlos, Lindsey, Fernando, Sonny)
Stephen and Carlos were pumped to greet thousands of Minecraft-loving kids! We had to design and put together our booth for Minecon with only 2 weeks to spare, but I think it looks pretty great!
The opening ceremony was massive! How did they fit this many people in one room!?
At our booth, we taught hundreds of kids over the course of the weekend how to mod Minecraft.
We also livestreamed from the event and invited kids from Minecon to play our mini-game mods on the livestream!
We met so many creative characters! Check out this awesome Ender Dragon!
As part of our booth, we passed out over 3,000 access keys to our LearnToMod Minecraft Modding software to Minecon attendees! Attendees just had to spin the wheel for an access key (some attendees also won t-shirts or lanyards!)
Our team had just as much fun on Day 2 of Minecon as Day 1!
At Minecon I was finally able to meet our collaborator from the University of Maine who we are working with on a National Science Foundation ITEST grant!
The line at our booth never diminished the entire weekend. We did a rough calculation at the end of the week to determine we spoke to a new person at least every ~15 seconds!
